Wineries
The Denmark district is emerging as a producer of premium and ultra premium cool-climate wines. Local wineries have produced trophy and medal winners in varieties such as Pinot Noir, Reisling, Merlot, and Honey Mead, as well as some beautiful, low-yield, fruit driven favorites like Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Wines to watch for the future are Sauvignon Blanc to rival NZ, and a number of wineries producing a memorable Champagne style.
