The 2 bedroom chalets sleep from 2 to 6 people and our 3 bedroom chalet can sleep up to 9 people. One chalet is suitable for wheelchairs and has a gas heater for the winter months. The other chalets each have a potbelly fire and all windows are fly-screened for your comfort. All the chalets are furnished with lounge and kitchen furniture, colour TVs, refrigerators, electric cooktops, microwave ovens, kettles and toasters.
Villas
Our 2 bedroom villas sleep up to 6 people and are fully self-contained, with a combined kitchen/living area and their own toilet and shower. Both villas have queen size beds with electric blankets, hair dryers, TV and DVD players and gas heaters for those cosy winter nights. Each kitchen has a full gas stove and microwave.

Each of the 6 guest rooms is different from the others, and all feature private bathrooms (1 with spa), individually controlled reverse-cycle air conditioning, outside entry, WA-made 5 star queen or twin bed mattresses, Sheridan covers, LCD TV with DVD. All rooms have sliding glass doors facing onto north-aspect veranda's, courtyards with views through the Tuarts and farmland to the nearby Wonnerup Inlet.

You begin to get the feeling you are somewhere special when you leave the main highway around 5 kms south of the Capel turnoff for the Tuart Forest Tourist Drive and slow down. The forest envelops you for the next 13 km before you turn into Rushleigh Rd and then into the property itself at No. 19.
Cruise along the paved driveway under huge Tuart Trees, and smaller peppermints (home to the Western Ringtail and Brushtail possums) circle the entrance area, and park under cover next to the Guest reception in the lobby.
Here you are will be quickly checked in, prior to being ushered through the jarrah French doors into the morning room, past the indoor pool area to your individual queen or twin room.
Maybe you will have a quick dip in the pool or perhaps enjoy an infra-red sauna first, then find a chair for a cool drink to just relax and take in the quietude. If you are in the mood for an extra drink or three and dp not want to drive there is the large 6 burner SS BBQ, microwave and guest fridge for you to use, or you could head off to one of our favourite local restaurants, taverns or pubs. You could take your drink to the relaxing clubby Guest Lounge, for a quiet space where you can engage in the pleasure of some conversation, a board game or a good book.
The nights here are quiet, so you will sleep well, but first you may like to take a torch and try spotting some local wildlife in the trees, such as the endangered (but not too hard to spot) Western Ringtail and Western Brushtail possums.
In the morning if you are up early you may be likely to meet some more of the locals. Western Grey Kangaroos are often seen on the lawns - on your way to the Morning Room for breakfast.
The Morning room is grand with its 20ft ceilings and French doors, and the a la carte breakfast is worth the visit on its own. Our chef, Suzanne, was the owner of renowned and award-winning Maxwells Cafe in Nedlands, and Alixandra Farm cafe/gallery in Denmark. The food is, well, it is good, with gourmet and healthy options always on the frequently changing menu.
Now what to do with the rest of the day?
Lounge around the pool, take a walk in the nearby Tuart Forest NP, or venture further a field to the Busselton Jetty, a swim on one of the many nearby Geographe Bay beaches, try some of the superb local wines at one or two of the many wineries in the world-famous Margaret River Wine Region, the list is almost endless..
Enjoy a relaxing stay amid the tranquil gardens and extensive ponds which are home to many native birds, ducks and frogs. Comfortable accommodation with a Queen room and twinshare room with electric blankets for chilly nights and TV/DVD in your room.

Our tariffs include all bedding, linen and towels. Meals are not included, and we do not have restaurant facilities on our property. But we are able to provide continental breakfast baskets for AUS$9.50 per person, and can also organise the delivery to your cottage of gourmet trout and marron dinner platters from a local restaurant. We are only one kilometre from town, where there are many great restaurants, cafes and takeaways, as well as a supermarket if you are wishing to cook your own meals.

The vicinity of your humble abode also offers much scope for some "adventures." The Skyhouse overlooks one of Denmark's best kept secrets. 'The Magic Circle' is a cluster of giant granite boulders topping the crown of Weedon Hill.
If you feel like walking, two hundred metres away at the base of Weedon Hill is the Bibbulmun Track.
Walk to the East it will take you along the Wilson Inlet through bushland towards the Denmark River and Town. To the West, it will lead you along the Inlet for several kilometres then up Mount Hallowell for some fantastic vistas and to Lights Beach.
For a more relaxing outing, just stroll down to the bottom of the hill to Honeymoon Cove; canoeing, boating or just sitting under the paperbark trees watching the waterbirds.
Further afield, a short seven kilometre drive will take you to Ocean Beach for great swimming, surfing and fishing.

Watermark Kilns are different. They are 50s tobacco kilns converted to accommodation. The buildings are on the State Heritage Register, so you are surrounded by history the moment you move onto the gravel (yes gravel - you have to be a bit adventurous to find us). We are right next to Schafer Hut on the Bibbulmun Track and our focus is on supporting walkers, although we do a terrific line in family holidays. Our involvement in The Karri Cup means that we know the forest tracks between Pemberton and Northcliffe very well and can support bike riders with maps and information. If you see something and want to know what it is in this world listed ‘hot spot’ ask us and we can probably identify it for you. If you want to find that elusive orchid, we probably know where it is.

The camp sites are all leveled and grassed and convenient to the facilities. RV's are welcome and a Dump Point is provided. The ablution block has a shower / toilet room for the disabled and families. The laundry gives free use of the washing machine and dryer for guests.
All are nestled in a quiet rural setting amoungst the granite boulders and natural bush of sheoak and redgum and flowering native plants, on a working farm. Located on the Denmark River 10 minutes easy walk away from Denmark village, the Centre provide education opportunities with on-site demonstrations of sustainability and regular workshops for guests.
The Centre, built in 1957 to house the Denmark Agricultural College, sits on just over one hectare of land adjacent to the Denmark High School and Denmark TAFE. The building is a feat of innovation and sustainability. From being ear-marked for demolition in 2000, it has been renovated, extended and restored by a local team of volunteers and dedicated builders and craftsmen featuring local timber and artwork, onsite waste water management, solar space heating and night cooling, recycled materials, a constructed wetland and more.
In the nearby Sanctuary, a hexagonal retreat room with sod roof, Centre guests can join regular yoga and chi gung classes. The Centre is able to accommodate up to 50 persons in 15 rooms with shared facilities. Each room takes between two and six using double bunks. Smaller numbers are able to be accommodated utilizing the lower bunks only. There are discounts of between 10% and 20% for groups of more than 10. Not suitable for children under school age.
